The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the State Government does not apply different yardsticks for different people. The objective of welfare schemes of the State Government is to install an egalitarian society without discrimination. The people from all walk of life are availing the benefits of Government’s welfare schemes. Shri Chouhan was speaking during ‘ Islah-e-Muashara’ organised by Jamiat Ulema at Iqbal ground on Friday.Shri Chouhan underlined the need for imbibing noble truths of holy books into lives. There is only almighty but there may be many ways to approach him. He said that to serve poor and humanity is the only true religion. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is committed to welfare of minority communities. Shri Chouhan said that hostel facility would be provided to the Muslim girl students. So far, one lakh students of minority communities were provided scholarships. The children from first standard to XII standard are being given free text-books and uniforms. The State Government will not let poverty emerge as major impediment on the way of obtaining education, the Chief Minister added.
Shri Chouhan said that discrimination with minority community would not be tolerated at any cost. The amount is being handed over to the guardians to purchase uniforms and bicycles for their wards.
Discussing about ‘Sparsh Abhiyan’, the Chief Minister said that the people struggling physically would be made capable by operating surgery, providing equipments and monthly pension of ` 500 to the needy disabled person. All these schemes are for all people no matter what caste and religion they belong to.
The Chief Minister said that sharing dais together by Shankarcharya Swami Jayendra Sarswati of Kanchi Kamkothi Peeth, Imam of Moazzin Organisation, New Delhi, Chief Mohammed Umer Ilyasi and Bhopal Shahar Mufti Abdurazzaq is a goodwill gesture. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is committed to maintaining religious harmony and fraternity among the people of all persuasions.
Speaking on the occasion, Swami Jayendra Sarswati said that all the religions teach noble truths and inspire the people to tread on the path of truth and to work jointly for the public welfare. Mohammed Umer Ilyasi said that maker of the universe is only one. The methods are different to call him (almighty). All the religions preach a message of peace.
MP and former Chief Minister Shri Kailash Joshi has said that the State is forging ahead with the legacy of communal harmony, fraternity, and mix-culture. Union Minister and State Unit President of Congress Shri Kantilal Bhuria said that some anti-national people have been trying to break the calm of the country but did not succeed. MLA Shri Govind Rajput described the event as a confluence of spiritualities. Mufti Abdurazzaq aired the grievances of Muslim community.
