9 June,Kohima: The monthly meeting of Tuensang DPDB was held on 6th June 2008 under the chairmanship of DC Tuensang Y.L. Jami at the DC’s conference hall.
After review of the last meeting minutes the House discussed the following agenda which were approved and recommended to respective departments for consideration – upgradation for Government Middle School Hakushang Tuensang and Mt. Carmel School, Tuensang; grant-in-aid for Kihito Theological College, Yahkor; proposal for increase of Post Graduate Teachers in GHSS Tuensang; report on the proposed RD Block at Panso Administrative Circle. About the shortage of Doctors in Civil Hospital Tuensang the DC briefed about its urgent need and action taken by him. In matters of financial assistance to the following the house recommended to their respective representatives for consideration:
*allotment of community hall building at Thoktsur village.
* maintenance of parade ground Tuensang with regard to Lojem Memorial Trophy.
* construction of suspension bridge Tangjutai river and resting shed between Pang village and Thngsonyu village.
* allotment under Common Pool from the current financial year for various schemes at Tuensang.
* upgradation for IA to SDIO Shamator and creation of 1 centre at Chessore was deferred to next DPDB meeting due to non submission of finding report by ADC Shamator.
Departmental activities of Power and Employment were also deferred to next meeting for want of details. The Board decided to have mass social work at Tuensang town on 14th June 2008. The Chairman briefed the members on RTI Act meeting of 5th June and poor attendance of PIOs & APIOs in the meeting. He urged absentees not to repeat in future and asked to maintain punctuality.
Regarding problem of admission to class 11 at Tuensang headquarter the Chairman suggested to introduce morning and evening shift. In this connection the House entrusted Central Admission Committee, Tuensang to examine and bring the detailed report in the next meeting.
