Anita Gharu, 8 Feb, Mohali : Shivalik Public School, Mohali once again bubbled up with the activities when approx. 85 educators from J & K visited the school under the Global Green Peace programme. Their objective was to learn about the latest teaching methodologies, interaction and role of cooperation in teaching and learning process prevalent today.
Their interaction with the school children and the school authorities gave them an insight to the teaching and learning. First of all, the Director, Mr. D S Bedi welcomed the guests and said that the teachers need to bring the attitudinal change in their thinking that no one is wrong and a teacher needs not only to teach the students but also to motivate them. After this, the students presented an enthusiastic cultural programme full of songs and dances which was well received by the visitors. They applauded the efforts put in by the teachers and the students. Mr. Sayeed Muzzafer, the President Global Green Peace apprised the audience with the objectives of the tour. Dr. SS Chinna, member, Governing Council, Amritsar, gave the introduction to the whole efforts put in by the forum. Ms Santosh Singh, the spokesperson, The Institute of Social Sciences, New Delhi enlightened the audience with her views. The vote of thanks was given by Azmat Rashid from Kashmir.
All the distinguished visitors were served with high tea and also were given mementoes by the institution. Later the Director himself took them along for showing the whole campus .The guests complimented the efforts of the authorities for taking good care of them.
