Chandigarh 16 November, 2024. Former MP of Chandigarh and Additional Solicitor General of the Government of India, Shri Satya Pal Jain has said that Sanskrit language is the key to India’s glorious history and knowledge of this language is must to understand the vast heritage of the country. Therefore, students should study it more, so that they can learn their cultural heritage in a better way.
Mr. Jain was addressing the students and teachers present in the program organized by the school on the occasion of ‘Sanskrit Day’ at Government Model School, Sector 40-A, this morning.
Mr. Jain said that everyone has equal right to education and qualification and even a child born in an economically poor family can achieve the highest position in the country and the world with his hard work and effort. Referring to the President, Vice President, Prime Minister and many other great personalities, Shri Jain said that all of them were born in ordinary families and through their hard work and dedication, they adorned the highest positions in the country.
Shri Jain urged the children to be proud of their country, their language and their heritage and to avoid blindly following foreign countries.
On this occasion, the school’s Principal Shri Jagpal Singh, social worker Shri Rakesh Uppal, school teachers and a large number of students were also present.
Shri Jain distributed prizes to the students and Shri Jain was honoured by presenting him a memento on behalf of the school.
