Pujari Kalyan Kosh will be instituted in the state. This was disclosed by Religious Trusts & Endowment Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma at a meeting of departmental advisory committee here today. The meeting also discussed the proposed Bill to be introduced in the state for the management of religious places maintained by the government.
MLA Shri Gautam Tetwal and Principal Secretary Religious Trusts and Endowment Shri Manoj Shrivastava were also present on the occasion.
Minister Shri Sharma said that efforts are being made to construct Madhya Pradesh government’s dharmshalas at Char Dham including Badrinarayan, Rameshwaram, Jagannath Puri and Dwarkpuri. The meeting was also informed that like Maihar and Mahakaleshwar, trusts will also be constituted for temples located at Omkareshwar, Kamtanath (Chitrakoot) Laxman Bagh (Rewa) and Orchha.
Religious Trusts Minsiter Shri Sharma said that honourium of temple priests is also being doubled. Now, priests will get Rs. 1000 instead of Rs. 500, Rs. 700 instead of Rs. 350 and Rs. 520 instead of Rs. 260.
