Chandigarh, March 1, 2025: The CISF Unit Punjab and Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh, hosted a facilitation program, “Saluting Valor,” to honor the remarkable contributions of retired CISF personnel to national security. The event marked the beginning of a week-long celebration leading up to the 56th CISF Raising Day on March 10.
The program commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a warm welcome address. Shri Yogesh Prakash Singh, Senior Commandant of CISF Unit Punjab and Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh, presented each veteran with a plant and a shawl, symbolizing appreciation for their dedicated service.
Support Initiatives for Retired CISF Personnel
During the event, Shri Yogesh Prakash Singh highlighted various welfare initiatives for retired personnel, including:

✅ E-Service Book – A digital initiative for maintaining service records.
✅ CGHS Benefits – A representative from CGHS Chandigarh explained the benefits and procedures for obtaining a CGHS card for healthcare services.
Cultural Performances and Motivational Talks
The event also featured cultural performances by CISF personnel, followed by motivational talks where CISF veterans shared their experiences, challenges, and insights with the current force.

Senior Commandant Shri Yogesh Prakash Singh reaffirmed CISF’s unwavering support for its veterans, stating, “CISF stands firmly with its retired personnel, ensuring their well-being and instilling a deep sense of pride in their invaluable service.”
