Chandigarh, June 14: The closing ceremony of the week-long Art and Craft Workshop, titled Creative Childhood, was a vibrant and heartwarming celebration that left a lasting impression on the budding artists, their proud parents, and distinguished guests.
Organised by the Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi, the workshop was held from 7th to 14th June at the iconic Open Hand Art Studios. The event marked the joyful conclusion of a week immersed in colour, creativity, and meaningful learning. Children explored a variety of artistic mediums including collage making, Fevicol texture art, churning, stubbing, and freehand painting and sketching.
The art exhibition held on the final day featured an impressive display of the children’s artworks, radiating imagination and expressive freedom. A touching moment during the ceremony allowed children and parents to share their experiences of the workshop, reflecting on the creativity, bonding, and joy they experienced.
Each child was awarded a Certificate of Participation, recognising not only their talent but also their enthusiasm and dedication to the process of creation.
The workshop was led by Shri Ravinder Sharma, a noted artist and educator, and supported ably by Ms. Retika Verma and Ms. Rashmita Kanoja. Their guidance and encouragement brought out the best in every child.
The tremendous success of Creative Childhood is a reflection of the vision and dedication of Shri Bheem Malhotra, Chairman of the Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi, whose continuous support made the workshop possible.
