Jammu: Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha (SGRDS), Bahu Fort Jammu, celebrated the Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Maharaj with great fervor at Gurudwara Shri Guru Ravi Dass Maharaj, Bahu Fort Jammu. The event was held under the presidentship of Dr. Vijay Shivgotra, with participation from students delivering speeches and chanting bhajans. Renowned singer Sonu Heer presented revolutionary bhajans, adding to the spiritual ambiance of the event.
Renowned Singers Honored Nationally acclaimed singers, Padam Shri Romalo Ram and Saras Bharti, captivated the audience with their soulful bhajans and were honored for their contributions.
Grand Shobha Yatra A grand Shobha Yatra, organized by Shri Guru Ravi Dass Vichar Dhara Samiti under the leadership of Prakash Chand, was warmly received by Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bahu Fort Jammu. A special 4×8 feet cake, arranged by Vikas Kalsi, Vice President of the Sabha, added to the celebrations.
Cake Cutting and Honoring Ceremony The cake-cutting ceremony was performed by little girls in the presence of distinguished guests, including Ramesh Angral (DIG), Dr. Sunita Bhasin (AIIMS Associate Professor), Amit Bhasi (SSP), and Er. R.C. Bhasin (Convenor, Adhoc Committee of All J&K Guru Ravi Dass Sabha (Regd)) along with other members.
All participating students in the Prabhat Pheries were honored by the chief guest and guests of honor, alongside the dedicated lady sewadars who actively contributed to the religious processions.
Expressions of Gratitude Sham Lal Basson, General Secretary of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bahu Fort Jammu, expressed gratitude to all residents of Bahu Fort who served Langar Prashad to thousands of devotees. He also acknowledged the commendable role played by students, youth, and lady sewadars in making the event successful.
A Commitment for Future Celebrations Vikas Kalsi, Vice President of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bahu Fort Jammu, made a heartfelt declaration that he will bear the cost of temple decorations, floral arrangements, and large-scale cake arrangements for the rest of his life.
Musical and Deepmala Ceremonies A powerful sound system was arranged by Mangat Kalsi, Manu, and Tanu during the concluding ceremonies of the Prabhat Pheries and Shobha Yatra. As per tradition, a Deepmala ceremony was performed, and Sham Basson appealed to devotees to illuminate their homes in celebration.
The Prakash Utsav concluded on a high spiritual note, strengthening communal harmony and devotion among the followers.
