AMRITSAR: Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) has officially commenced the counseling process for the University Common Entrance Test (UCET)-2026 at Guru Nanak Bhawan, reaffirming its commitment to a transparent, efficient, and student-friendly admission framework.
The first round of counseling, which began on July 3, will continue until July 7, 2026. University authorities have announced that the schedule for the second round of counseling will be released on July 6, 2026.
Strong Turnout on Day One
Out of a total of 2,677 candidates who appeared for the UCET-2026 entrance examination, 1,971 candidates successfully qualified for admission into various specialized Science and Engineering programs.
On the inaugural day of counseling, nearly 400 candidates reported to the venue to secure their seats in various undergraduate and integrated disciplines spanning Science, Mathematics, and Engineering.

M.Sc. Five-Year Integrated Programmes (FYIP): Botany, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Food Technology, Human Genetics, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, and Zoology.

M.Tech. Five-Year Integrated Programmes (FYIP): Artificial Intelligence & Robotics Engineering, and Urban & Regional Planning.

Undergraduate Degrees: B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.).

Smooth and Coordinated Execution
To ensure a hassle-free experience, the entire process is being tightly overseen by Coordinator Prof. Aman Mahajan and Deputy Coordinator Dr. Sachin Kumar.
Heads of respective departments, senior faculty members, and departmental office staff remained stationed at the venue throughout the day. They actively assisted students and their parents with document verification, provided academic counseling, and streamlined the completion of on-spot admission formalities.
The university administration has reiterated that the counseling is being executed in a strictly fair and student-centric manner. Candidates are strongly advised to report on their precisely allotted dates and times with all necessary original documents to successfully lock in their admissions.
