DSM Sports Festival was organised on 1 December 2024 at Sports Complex, Sector – 46, Chandigarh. The event was organised by DSM Services and New Theatre (Regd.)
700 participants came at the event including 200 orphans, 40 blind and 40 special children. The participants showcased their talent in 100M Race, 400M Race, Long Jump, Shotput, Javelin Throw, Arm Wrestling, Painting, Dance and Singing. It was a unique and inclusive platform where kids, master athletes and senior citizens also participated at the event.
The Festival was organised with a purpose to promote the culture of Sports. The event saw participation from Discover Ability school, Prabh Asra, Institute for Blind and was supported by Indian Oil, Gail and Torque Pharma.
Sudesh Sharma, Chairman, Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Academy and prominent Punjabi folk singer Hardeep Singh were present at the Venue and distributed medals and gave their blessings to the participants.
The event saw participation from 3 years old superkids to 80 years old champions.
The steal of the show was 50M race by under 5 age category.
