ROHTAK: The SUPVA university family gathered on Monday in profound grief to mourn the tragic and untimely demise of former student Bhavishya Sharma.
Assembling on the lawn in front of the Vice-Chancellor’s Secretariat, students, faculty, and staff stood together to observe a two-minute silence, offering heartfelt prayers for the peace of the departed soul.
A Promising Life Cut Short
Bhavishya Sharma, an alumnus of the 2021 batch of Animation and Multimedia, successfully graduated from SUPVA earlier in 2025.
FC Vinay Kumar from the Visual Arts faculty addressed the gathering, sharing heartbreaking details about the young graduate’s passing:

The Incident: Bhavishya lost his life in the horrific fire that broke out in the Aliganj area of Lucknow on June 22—a devastating incident that claimed a total of 15 lives.

A Brief Stint: He had left his home for Lucknow just a few weeks prior, on June 6, and had been working at his new center for a mere eight days when the tragedy struck.

Family Background: Originally from Mahipur village in Sonipat, Bhavishya was the only child of his parents. His father, Narendra Sharma, works as a teacher in a private school, while his mother supports the family through sewing work.
Condolences from University Leadership
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya expressed immense sorrow over the loss, emphasizing that the deep wounds inflicted on the grieving family can never truly be healed.
“As soon as it came to our knowledge that Bhavishya, who tragically lost his life in Lucknow, was a part of the SUPVA family, we gathered to observe silence for the peace of his soul. We offer our most sincere prayers to give his parents the strength to bear the immense and unimaginable grief they are facing,” Dr. Arya stated.
The solemn condolence gathering was attended by several key university officials who stood in solidarity. Alongside the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha, Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Ajay Kaushik, and teaching and non-teaching staff from various faculties were present to pay their final respects to the young alumnus.
