CHANDIGARH: In a significant political development for the city’s business community, Sardar Charanjeev Singh, the current and five-time President of the Chandigarh Vyapar Mandal, officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday.
During a dedicated programme held at the BJP Chandigarh State Office, Sector-33 ‘Kamalam’, BJP Chandigarh State President Jatinder Pal Malhotra formally inducted Singh into the party by presenting him with the traditional BJP stole.
Strengthening the Voice of Traders
Welcoming the prominent business leader into the fold, Jatinder Pal Malhotra highlighted that Sardar Charanjeev Singh’s vast experience in social service and deep roots within the business community would substantially strengthen the BJP organization. Malhotra expressed strong confidence that Singh’s active contribution would play an essential role in effectively safeguarding the interests of local traders and raising their concerns at the highest levels.
In his address, Sardar Charanjeev Singh expressed his unwavering faith in the core policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the Central Government’s ongoing initiatives dedicated to the welfare of the trading community.
He assured the gathering that he would work with full dedication and commitment to strengthen the party organization from the ground up and effectively represent the collective voice of the business community.
