Chandigarh/Jaipur. Chandigarh’s Sehr Bansal has brought immense pride to the city by being crowned First Runner-Up at UMB Miss India 2025, one of the country’s most prestigious national beauty pageants. The competition witnessed over 2,000 entries from across India, from which 111 finalists were selected to compete at the national level. Representing Chandigarh with distinction, Sehr secured the coveted First Runner-Up position at the grand finale held on December 21 at Zee Studios, Jaipur.

Sehr successfully completed a five-day intensive national pageant journey, which included rigorous rounds such as personal interviews, opening statement, talent showcase, semi-finals and the grand finale. Her confidence, articulate expression and commanding stage presence set her apart among the nation’s top finalists.
The crowning moment was made even more special as Sehr was crowned by celebrated actress and former Miss India Neha Dhupia, along with UMB Miss India 2024 and Miss Europe Continental India Rashmita Chitre, adding prestige to the ceremony. The event was impeccably curated by Snigdha Baruah, co-owner of UMB Pageants, and was hosted by popular Bollywood actor Karan Tacker, who brought charm and energy to the evening.
Over the years, the UMB Miss India platform has been graced by prominent celebrities including Arjun Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Manushi Chhillar, making it one of the most respected names in the pageantry world. The pageant is owned and conceptualised by Urmimala Boruah, whose vision focuses on women empowerment, diversity and inclusivity, celebrating individuality, confidence and purpose beyond conventional standards.
Beyond pageantry, Sehr Bansal is also training to become a commercial pilot, reflecting her multifaceted ambitions and commitment to excellence. She hails from a distinguished defence background, being the daughter of Brigadier Roveen Bansal and Mrs Aparna Bansal, whose values of discipline, service and perseverance have deeply influenced her journey.
With this achievement, Sehr will now represent India at upcoming international pageants, marking her entry onto the global stage. As part of her title, she will embark on an exclusive Queens Tour, which includes appearances at Paris Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week and Dubai Fashion Week, among other leading global runways. Adding another milestone to her journey, Sehr is also set to walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival 2026 as an Indian celebrity.
