Anahad Kaur, a ninth-grade student of Doon International School, New Chandigarh , has achieved a remarkable milestone in her literary journey. Participating in the National Young Authors’ Fair (NYAF) 2025–26, organized by BriBooks Publication, Anahad’s debut book “The Topper’s Curse” has now reached the Asian Level, marking an extraordinary leap beyond national acclaim.
Her book, which was initially recognized as an Emerging Best-Seller at the national level, has officially crossed the milestone of 59 readers, earning her the prestigious title of Published Achiever at the Asian Level. This accomplishment stands as a testament to her passion, creativity, and perseverance in the literary world. Adding to her success, “The Topper’s Curse” will soon receive its ISBN (International Standard Book Number) — the global passport that grants the book worldwide recognition and firmly places Anahad on the international literary map.
Speaking about her journey, Anahad shared that her family never puts pressure on her to be a topper. She believes education should not be about rote learning but about true understanding. Her book “The Topper’s Curse” explores the struggles and pressures faced by high-achieving students, highlighting how the race to excel can affect their mental well-being.
Anahad also revealed that she keeps herself away from mobile phones and social media, preferring to learn from real-life experiences. Her philosophy is simple yet powerful — “Study as much as you can, but understand what you study.” For her, true success lies not in surpassing others but in becoming a better version of oneself.
With this remarkable achievement, Anahad Kaur has not only made her school and city proud but has also emerged as one of Asia’s most promising young authors.
