MOHALI: Deputy Election Commissioner of the Election Commission of India (ECI), Mr. Bhanu Prakash Yeturu, IAS, and Punjab Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, chaired a crucial review meeting today in Mohali.
The primary agenda of the high-level meeting was to meticulously assess the ongoing house-to-house enumeration process, focusing specifically on the distribution and collection of forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 program. The initiative aims to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the electoral rolls.
Eight Districts Participate in the Review
The strategic meeting saw the active participation of Deputy Commissioners (DCs)-cum-District Election Officers (DEOs) from across the region to present their progress reports and address ground-level challenges.
