Chandigarh, November 27: Member of Parliament from Chandigarh and former Union Minister Manish Tewari on Thursday handed over five e-golf carts to the legal fraternity at the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The vehicles have been procured by the Chandigarh Administration using funds released under his MPLADS grant.
Addressing members of the Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association, Tewari said the legal fraternity plays a vital role in strengthening the justice system and ensuring timely justice for citizens. He thanked the advocates for their support during the Lok Sabha elections and assured them of his continued assistance in addressing future infrastructure needs of the High Court.
Calling for long-term vision planning, Tewari urged the legal community to initiate a dialogue on “Chandigarh 2050”, suggesting that the city’s administrative structure should be reformed and modernised in line with the aspirations of future generations.
Speaking about the newly-introduced e-golf carts, he said the initiative will significantly improve mobility within the High Court premises, benefiting both lawyers and litigants.
