Chandigarh, Friday, April 25, 2025 – The Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association (CLTA) continued to witness high-intensity matches at the ongoing CLTA-AITA National Series Tennis Tournament for Boys and Girls under-18, being held from April 21st to 26th, 2025, at the CLTA Complex in Sector 10C. The tournament is sponsored by HPCL-Mittal Energy Limited.
In a thrilling semifinal clash, Chandigarh’s Ribhav Saroha delivered a dominant performance, defeating Karnataka’s Nithin Bharat 6-3, 6-1 to book his spot in the boys’ singles final. In the other semifinal, top seed Swaraaj Shailendra Dhamdhere of Maharashtra outclassed Punjab’s 5th seed Armaan Walia with a commanding 6-2, 6-2 straight-sets victory.
The girls’ category also saw intense battles. Third seed Nainika Naren Bendrum from Maharashtra overcame a strong challenge from Haryana’s Sherry Sharma (seeded 9th), clinching a straight-set win 6-4, 7-5. In the upset of the day, qualifier Ranjhana Sangram from Punjab stunned 4th seed Shagun Kumari of Uttar Pradesh 6-4, 6-3, to advance into the final.
The much-anticipated boys’ and girls’ under-18 singles finals are scheduled for Saturday, April 26, starting at 9:00 A.M. at the CLTA Complex.
