Jammu: On the eve of the 649th Prakash Utsav of Sant Shiromani Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, the All Jammu & Kashmir Guru Ravidass Sabha organized a grand Shobha Yatra from its head office at Krishna Nagar, Jammu, under the convenorship of Er. R.C. Bhasin. The yatra was flagged off by prominent senior members of the Biradari including Sh. C.L. Banal, Sh. Amar Nath Bavouria, Sh. Paras Ram Angral, Sh. M.R. Bangotra, Er. B.R. Chadgal, Er. D.D. Gorka, Dr. Rajinder Sambyal, and others.
Later, Sri Sri 108 Swami Gurdip Giri Ji Maharaj, a revered spiritual authority of the Ravidasia Samaj, joined the Shobha Yatra and led the devotees with spiritual blessings. The procession passed through various bazaars of Jammu city and concluded at Bahu Fort Gurudwara, as planned earlier.
A large number of members of the Biradari participated with great enthusiasm and devotion. The yatra featured beautiful jhankis depicting the life and teachings of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, which drew admiration from the public. Along the route, devotees had set up several stalls offering eatables, water, and refreshments to the participants as a mark of seva and devotion.
At Bahu Fort, Sri Sri 108 Swami Gurdip Giri Ji Maharaj delivered a spiritual sermon, highlighting the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji and inspiring the devotees to follow the path of equality, truth, and compassion. Subsequently, the Guru Ravidas Sabha, Bahu Fort, felicitated various heads of the Sabhas and prominent members of the Biradari for their contributions to the community.
It is pertinent to mention that the Civil and Police Administration of District Jammu made elaborate arrangements to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the yatra. The management committee expressed sincere gratitude to the administration for their cooperation and also thanked the media for extensive coverage of the event.
