INDIANAPOLIS: Former Chandigarh Public Prosecutor, Mr Ashu Mohan Punchhi, was felicitated by Indiana Secretary of State, Mr Diego Morales, at the Indiana Statehouse, a historic building that has served as a center of civic life since 1888. Accompanied by chairman of the Ghoman Group of Companies, Mr Amarbir (Alex) Ghoman, and Harsharan ( Harry ) Ghoman CEO/President and founder of the Indiana-India Business Council (IIBC), Mr Raju Chinthala. Mr Ashu Mohan Punchhi, was given a warm welcome.
The Indiana Statehouse is the state capitol building of the U.S. state of Indiana. It houses the Indiana General Assembly, the office of Indiana Governor, the Indiana Supreme Court, and other state officials.
Explaining the reasons why Indiana is number one state of the USA, Mr Diego Morales said “Indiana provides enough opportunities to the business houses and individual businesses to prosper and serve the community better.
Mr Ashu Mohan Punchhi is son of the former Chief Justice of India, late Mr. Justice Madan Mohan Punchhi. Mr. Ashu Mohan was presented a memento by Mr Diego. Mr Punchhi and Mr Amarbir Singh Ghoman also met the State Representative, Mr Mike Speedy and the Attorney General, Mr Todd Rokita and other officials. The group visited the Senate, the House of Representatives and the Supreme Court of Indiana. Mr Raju Chinthala explained the salient features of the Indiana Statehouse.
Mr Ashu Mohan Punchhi looked impressed after a nearly two-hour tour of the Indiana Statehouse.
Mr Ashu Mohan Punchhi was Public Prosecutor for Chandigarh, representing Chandigarh Police in the Punjab and Haryana High Court from July 10, 2020 to September, 2023. He headed, supervised and handled a team of 25 Additional Public Prosecutors.
