CHANDIGARH: In a remarkable display of its unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability, Ankur School, located in Sector 14, Chandigarh, has been awarded the prestigious “Best Eco Club Award 2025”.
The accolade was conferred by the Department of Environment, UT Chandigarh, under the flagship National Green Corps Programme. Shri H. Rajesh Prasad, IAS, Chief Secretary of the Union Territory of Chandigarh, officially presented the award to the school in recognition of its outstanding and sustained grassroots environmental initiatives.
Celebrations at ‘Paudh Mela’
The grand award ceremony took place during the vibrant “Paudh Mela” celebrations, hosted at the Lake Club Parking Area in Chandigarh. The UT Chief Secretary graced the significant community occasion as the Chief Guest, emphasizing the importance of youth and educational institutions in driving forward the city’s green initiatives.
