New Delhi : The Ministry of Ayush has officially launched the Ayush Grid project, which is envisaged as a comprehensive IT backbone for the entire Ayush sector. The primary objective of this initiative is to digitize service delivery while strengthening transparency, efficiency, and governance across multiple domains, including healthcare, research, education, drug administration, capacity building, and medicinal plants.
To drive this digital transformation, the Ayush Grid integrates advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) across various functional areas. Under this widespread initiative, twenty-four e-governance platforms have been developed and made accessible throughout the country.
Unified Digital Ecosystem and Healthcare Delivery The master portal for the Ministry is the My Ayush Integrated Services Portal (MAISP), which integrates all Ayush-related applications and services into a unified digital ecosystem. This portal facilitates citizen-centric access to various schemes and enables real-time monitoring and data-driven decision-making, while also deploying an AI-enabled chatbot (Beta version) to enhance user experience and assist visitors.
Furthermore, to improve the management of health facilities, the Ministry has deployed the Ayush Hospital Management Information System (AHMIS), which is compliant with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) and aims to digitize healthcare delivery. The administrative side has also been bolstered by the Ayush Anudan Portal, which streamlines the submission, processing, approval, and monitoring of funding proposals under various Central Sector Schemes.
Boosting Research, Investment, and Agriculture Research and development receive a significant technological boost through the AI-enabled Ayush Research Portal, serving as a centralized digital repository containing over 43,000 curated Ayush research publications for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.
For economic and agricultural stakeholders, the Ayush Nivesh Saarthi Portal functions as a dedicated gateway providing comprehensive information to promote investment opportunities for both domestic and international investors. Meanwhile, the e-Charak portal acts as a virtual marketplace and information platform specifically for the medicinal plants sector. This platform connects farmers, collectors, buyers, manufacturers, and exporters, and is integrated with an AI assistant designed to resolve user queries.
Preserving Ancient Knowledge The digital push also extends to the preservation of historical knowledge. Digital platforms such as the Ayurveda Grantha Samuccaya Digital Library, developed by Ayush Grid, along with the Ayush Manuscripts Advanced Repository (AMAR), Showcase of Ayurvedic Historical Imprints (SAHI), and E-Medical Heritage Accession (E-Medha) developed by the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), are actively helping digitize ancient texts and manuscripts.
Collectively, these accessible e-governance tools have strengthened service delivery and enhanced transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency across the sector. This information was officially provided today by the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush, Shri Prataprao Jadhav, in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha.
