New Delhi : With the withdrawal of nominations closing today, the contest for the Vice-Presidential Election 2025 has narrowed down to two candidates — Buchireddy Sudershan Reddy, a resident of Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, and C.P. Radhakrishnan, currently residing at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai.
Polling will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in Room No. F-101, Vasudha, Parliament House, New Delhi. Voting is scheduled between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the same day.
The Electoral College for the election comprises members of both Houses of Parliament, including nominated members of the Rajya Sabha, who are also entitled to vote.
Election arrangements are being supervised by P.C. Mody, Returning Officer and Secretary-General of the Rajya Sabha. The counting of votes will commence at 6 p.m. on September 9, with the results to be declared immediately after completion of counting.
