Chandigarh, August 6: Dr. Simran Preet, Associate Professor in the Department of Biophysics at Panjab University, Chandigarh, has been awarded the prestigious ANRF International Travel Grant, recognizing her outstanding contributions in the field of antimicrobial research.
Dr. Preet will represent Panjab University at IMAP-2025, an upcoming international conference on Antimicrobial Peptides, scheduled to be held in Dublin, Ireland. Her pioneering research, which focuses on antimicrobial peptides and their role in addressing the global crisis of antibiotic resistance, has earned her this competitive grant.
The award will fully cover her air travel, visa fees, and conference registration, and is considered a significant recognition of her scientific work in the area of medical research. “This grant will provide me an opportunity to strengthen Panjab University’s research reputation as I share my findings globally and collaborate with fellow scientists,” said Dr. Preet.
