Amritsar, 28 January 2026: Under the visionary leadership of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Karamjeet Singh, the Directorate of Placement & Career Enhancement, Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) successfully conducted a campus recruitment drive by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for the academic batch passing out in June 2026.

During the drive, 57 students from various B.Tech. and MCA programmes of GNDU Main Campus, Amritsar, and its Regional Campuses were selected. The selected students will join TCS after completing their respective courses. TCS, a global leader in IT services and consulting, visits GNDU every year for campus hiring, as the university is among its priority institutions.

Congratulating the selected students, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Karamjeet Singh said that GNDU remains committed to providing quality education, skill development, and holistic growth opportunities to its students, ensuring their readiness for the professional world.

Dr. Harvinder Singh Saini, Dean Academic Affairs, stated that the success of GNDU students in the TCS drive reflects the university’s strong academic framework and outcome-based education system. Dr. K. S. Chahal, Registrar, added that the university looks forward to strengthening its association with TCS and other reputed organizations to create more placement opportunities for students.

Expressing satisfaction over the results, Dr. Amit Chopra, Director, Directorate of Placement & Career Enhancement, GNDU, said that the selection of 57 students by a prestigious organization like TCS is a testament to the hard work of students and the continuous efforts of the placement team. He emphasized that GNDU focuses on industry-oriented training, soft skills development, and career guidance to prepare students for competitive corporate environments.
