Mohali: A vibrant dance festival held in Mohali turned into a spectacular celebration of culture, talent and youth energy, as more than 120 dancers, including special children, delivered mesmerizing performances. The event featured a wide range of dance forms such as Bhangra, Giddha, Western Dance, Bollywood Dance and Patriotic performances, making it a truly memorable experience for the audience.
The highlight of the evening was the stunning Giddha performance by 5-year-old Sifat and an energetic Bhangra performance by 8-year-old Vansh, both of whom left the audience spellbound. A special performance titled “Operation Sindoor”, prepared by Khare Dance Academy, evoked thunderous applause and goosebumps with its powerful patriotic theme.
Several prominent personalities graced the occasion, including Mr. Amarjeet Singh Sidhu, Mayor of Mohali, Sardar S.S. Ahluwalia, Chairman, Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board, renowned folk singer Pammi Bai, and youth activist Gurjeet Mama Mautaur, who also awarded prizes to the winners.
Addressing the gathering, Mayor Amarjeet Singh Sidhu congratulated all participants for being part of such a wonderful initiative and expressed his happiness over the organisation of cultural festivals in Mohali. He assured full support for similar events in the future.
Sardar S.S. Ahluwalia highlighted dance as a powerful form of therapy and congratulated the participants and their parents for choosing dance as a medium for health and celebration. He expressed hope that such initiatives would help in making Punjab drug-free by engaging youth in cultural and creative activities.
Folk singer Pammi Bai praised the organisers for hosting a grand festival and shared his vision of launching a World Bhangra League, aimed at providing a global platform for youth and professionals to pursue Bhangra as a sport and career.

The breathtaking Bhangra and Giddha performance by Gurmohi Dance Academy also received huge appreciation from the audience.

Speaking on the occasion, Pritpal Singh Sodhi, Director, New Theatre, thanked all participants, dignitaries and supporters for making the festival a grand success and assured that many more such cultural initiatives would be organised in the future.
