BARCELONA — Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya Scindia, inaugurated the Bharat Pavilion at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona on Tuesday, firmly positioning India as a trusted, emerging global leader in digital infrastructure and telecom innovation.
The “IQ Era” and Indian Infrastructure Addressing global media and tech leaders, the Minister stated that as the world deliberates the future of connectivity in the “IQ Era,” India stands perfectly positioned at the intersection of intelligence and infrastructure—where connectivity meets capability and innovation meets inclusion.
He underscored that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s rapid telecom transformation has been heavily driven by indigenous research and development (R&D), production-linked incentives, and deep integration into global value chains.
“India is not only building networks for its 1.4 billion citizens but also building trusted digital bridges for the world,” Scindia remarked. “Guided by the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, we believe connectivity must empower humanity, strengthen partnerships, and create shared prosperity.”
