Prof. Yojna Rawat has assumed the position of Director, Research and Development Cell at Panjab University.
A professor of Hindi at the Centre for Distance and Online Learning, Prof. Rawat previously served as Chairperson of the department from 2016 to 2019, implementing significant reforms to enhance its operations. An accomplished academic, she has authored several books and research papers and is also known as a poet, short story writer, and translator.
Prof. Rawat has contributed to the university’s governance as a member of the Senate and Syndicate. For the past two years, she has been the Coordinator of the Srimanta Shankardev Chair, during which she organized numerous academic and cultural activities.
Recently, the Honorable Governor of Uttarakhand, Shri Gurmit Singh, nominated her to the Executive Council of Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani. Her term will commence on November 24, 2024, for a duration of two years.
