Aasmi Jain, a student of Carmel Convent School, has demonstrated that excellence in sports and academics can go hand in hand with the right balance and discipline. At a time when academic pressure often overshadows extracurricular pursuits, Aasmi has emerged as a role model for students striving to succeed in both fields.
Balancing the demanding CBSE curriculum with an active sports career, Aasmi approached her studies with remarkable composure. She focused on understanding concepts during school hours and followed it up with regular revision, ensuring consistency in her preparation.
Her daily routine reflected strong dedication — beginning with early morning sports practice, followed by nearly six hours of academic study, and concluding with evening training sessions. Despite the rigorous schedule, Aasmi credits her involvement in sports, particularly basketball and netball, as effective stress-busters that helped her stay mentally refreshed and focused.
Aasmi’s achievements extend beyond academics. She has represented her city five times at national-level championships in two sports and is a two-time state gold medalist in basketball and netball. Her accomplishments have brought pride not only to her city but also to her school.
By maintaining unwavering focus on both studies and sports, Aasmi Jain stands as a true example of dedication and balance, embodying the spirit of a progressive and empowered India.
