MOHALI — Minerva Academy FC continued their imperious run in the AIFF Junior League, defeating Namdhari FC 4–0 to complete the double over their opponents. This dominant performance extends the Warriors’ flawless record to six wins in six matches, underscoring their status as heavy title contenders.
The squad entered the contest brimming with confidence, having recently registered a gigantic 13–0 victory over YFC Khad in their previous outing. Despite the grueling schedule of playing three matches in just six days, Minerva once again demonstrated exceptional composure, fitness, and tactical discipline.
A Dream Start and Relentless Pressure The match got off to a blistering start as Minerva struck in just the 2nd minute. Capitalizing on a well-delivered corner kick, Greatson Hidam rose sharply to head the ball home, giving the visitors an immediate advantage. The early goal set the tone for the match, allowing Minerva to dictate possession and comfortably control the proceedings.
Their sustained pressure paid dividends again just before the break. In the 42nd minute, Namdhari’s skipper, Karanbir Singh, inadvertently turned the ball into his own net while under heavy offensive pressure, doubling Minerva’s lead heading into halftime.
“Playing three fixtures in six days without any dip in performance further highlights their physical and mental resilience.”
Second-Half Dominance In the second half, Minerva maintained their high attacking intensity while remaining structurally compact on defense.

The final nail in the coffin came courtesy of Laishram Mahesh, who calmly slotted the ball home to make it 4–0, sealing another comprehensive victory.
- The result confirms Minerva Academy FC’s absolute dominance in the league. Winning six out of six matches—while scoring freely and conceding minimally—reflects the squad’s incredible depth and hunger. They are firmly in control of their group and edging much closer to qualification for the final round of the AIFF Junior League.
The Warriors now turn their focus to their next challenge as they prepare to face Shergill Soccer Academy on 2nd March. With momentum firmly on their side, Minerva will look to widen the gap at the top of the table and cement their position.
