KOHIMA: In a monumental development for the state’s sporting fraternity, the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) has proudly announced that its Honorary President, Shri Watinuksung Jamir, has been appointed as the Team Manager of the Indian Cricket Team for the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka.
The India Tour of Sri Lanka, which includes a practice match and a highly anticipated two-match Test series, is scheduled to take place from August 7 to August 27, 2026.
A Historic Milestone for the State
Extending its warmest congratulations, the NCA described the high-profile appointment as a moment of immense pride for the association and the entire cricketing community of Nagaland.
The association emphasized that Shri Watinuksung Jamir’s selection for this critical national responsibility is a direct recognition of his exemplary leadership, vast administrative experience, and continued dedication to the development and promotion of cricket within the state.
“His presence with the Indian team on an international tour will be a significant milestone, not only in his professional journey but also for Nagaland cricket,” the NCA noted.
