Visit to Kachchh and Massive Development Push
On Monday, PM Modi visited the border district of Kachchh, marking his first trip to the region after the conclusion of Operation Sindoor. Speaking at a massive public rally in Bhuj, he inaugurated 18 development projects worth ₹2,326 crore and laid the foundation for 15 more projects valued at ₹51,088 crore, delivering a combined ₹53,414 crore in development commitments to the state.
In a heartfelt address delivered in the local Kutchhi dialect, the Prime Minister greeted the people with “Ki Aayo Kutchhi” and praised them as valiant protectors of India’s borders. He also paid tribute to freedom fighter Shyamji Krishna Varma and invoked the blessings of Maa Ashapura, a revered local deity, for the continued progress of the nation.
PM Modi reflected on his deep-rooted association with the region, recalling the transformative impact of Narmada water in turning the once-arid Kachchh into a symbol of rejuvenation. “The arrival of Narmada waters turned this land of scarcity into a land of celebration—like Diwali every day,” he remarked.
