Chandigarh, January 12, 2026: The All India Civil Services Table Tennis Tournament commenced today at the Table Tennis Hall, Sector 23, Chandigarh, and will continue till January 16, 2026. The championship is being organised by the Sports Department, Chandigarh Administration.
The prestigious tournament was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Mahender Singh, Joint Director Sports, Chandigarh Administration, in the presence of senior officials and players representing various civil services from across the country.
The event has drawn enthusiastic participation nationwide, with 35 teams competing in the Men’s category and 25 teams in the Women’s category, highlighting the strong sporting spirit and competitive enthusiasm among civil services personnel.

The championship aims to encourage physical fitness, sportsmanship and camaraderie among officers of the civil services, while providing them a national platform to showcase their sporting talent beyond official duties.
The Chandigarh Sports Department has made comprehensive arrangements to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the tournament. Officials expressed confidence that the event will not only promote competitive excellence but also strengthen bonds among participants from different states and services.
