CHANDIGARH — Panjab University is set to organise a significant academic event on March 9, 2026, focusing on the profound themes of sacrifice, equality, and moral authority within Sikh history. The lecture will take place from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Law Auditorium on the university campus.
Exploring the Indian Civilisational Ethos Titled “Sacrifice, Equality, and Moral Authority: Sikh History, Guru Tegh Bahadur, and the Panj Pyare in the Indian Civilisational Ethos,” the lecture aims to deeply explore the enduring legacy of Sikh philosophy and its foundational contributions to India’s cultural and moral framework.
This dialogue on the values of courage and moral responsibility embedded within the Sikh tradition is expected to draw a large audience of students, faculty members, scholars, and members of the wider community.

Keynote Speaker: Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Member of the BJP Parliamentary Board, is expected to shed light on both the historical and contemporary relevance of Sikh teachings.
